Our New PastorSunday, Apr 23
As has been announced in worship, effective July 1, Rev. Shannon Sullivan has been appointed by Bishop LaTrelle Easterling to be the associate pastor of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Frederick, Maryland. Rev. Tiffany Patterson has been appointed as the new pastor of Presbury UMC and Cranberry UMC starting July 1st!
Pastor Tiffany grew up in a military family and lived in seven different states before eighth grade. She found her church home in the United Methodist Church when she was invited to a UMC youth group event in high school and discovered the joy of living the life of faith in loving community.
Tiffany has a deep love for God, people and the Church. She's served in full-time pastoral ministry for nine years in churches in Atlanta, Georgia and Maryland in Washington, Frederick and St. Mary’s Counties. She was ordained an Elder in the UMC in 2016. Tiffany brings to us a love for learning and serving, teaching and preaching, nurturing and equipping people in their faith. She has valuable experience pastoring two congregations together, building partnerships between churches, agencies and nonprofits for service in the community, as well as in ministry with children and young people. Passionate about social justice and outreach, Pastor Tiffany is committed to serving and building relationships with those who are struggling and the most vulnerable in our community. She received her Master of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Florida Southern College.
Pastor Tiffany enjoys retreating outdoors to pray, walk her dog, read, write and meet new people. She has a passion for the creative arts and spends a lot her days off immersed in her love for writing, music, and visual art. Pastor Tiffany is looking forward to meeting you and serving God with you in ministry!
